We have all made mistakes in life. I certainly know I have made many. The Bible explains we are all guilty. We need God’s plan of salvation.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24) Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
And it explains our penalty for our sin and also our free gift.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Thankfully, we don’t have to stay condemned. Even in our sin and rebellion against God, He loves us deeply and made a way for us to be forgiven. Through Jesus Christ, we can receive new and eternal life, free from the punishment we deserve. Jesus paid the price for each of us, offering us the gift of being made new.
Romans 10:9 That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus; and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things become new.
God’s promise is true.
Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
All you have to do is follow God’s plan of salvation, call on the Lord. Talk to Him from your heart and tell Him how you feel. Tell Him you believe He is who He says He is. You believe He came to earth to die on the cross to pay for your sins. That He rose again the third day. Thank Him for doing this for you. Tell Him you are sorry for all you have done to put Him on that cross. Ask Him to forgive you. Tell Him you want Him in your life to help you through the rest of your days.
The Bible says we are made in the image of God Gen 1:27. Therefore, we are wired to want justice. Haven’t you ever wanted justice for a wrong done to you or a loved one?
God is an almighty, perfect God who must have justice. There is no other way we could ever have a relationship with Him or escape our just punishment without Jesus. Unless we are free of all our wrong doing we can’t escape the judgment of our perfect God.

Without Jesus, there’s no way for us to have a relationship with God or escape the judgment we deserve. Our perfect God requires justice, and none of us can meet that standard on our own.
But Jesus made a way—He took our wrongdoing upon Himself so we could be free and stand before God as His beloved children.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Jesus loved us so much He went to the cross and sacrificed Himself. Enduring an agonizing death to pay the price for our sins. What love He shows us!
✝️ If you have never asked Jesus this, won’t you ask Him today? If you have been close to Him in the past but haven’t been lately won’t you invite Him back today?
Romans 5:8 But God shows his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Here is the best illustration of what Jesus has done for us when He took our punishment to the cross. Then if you scroll down there is an awesome song by Casting Crowns.
